We want our Provider Performance Dashboard to facilitate more and better conversations between our team of RCM experts and our clients because that is the essence of our value as a company.

Healthcare Administrative Partners (HAP), a leader in outsourced revenue cycle management solutions for medical practices, today announces the availability of its new Provider Performance Dashboard(TM) business intelligence service. Headquartered near Philadelphia, PA, HAP offers a comprehensive portfolio of billing, coding, and practice management solutions designed to help providers minimize compliance risks and maximize revenues in this challenging new healthcare economy.

The Provider Performance Dashboard is an internet accessible business intelligence tool that features a variety of intuitive reports, giving physicians and practice executives alike critical insight into the metrics that most influence their financial success. It provides HAP employees and their clients with both broad and deep perspectives on the recent performance of the practice as well as trends over time in order to facilitate collaboration and action. Users of the Dashboard can view key performance indicator reports for a quick snapshot as well as drill-down to more granular levels for exploration of data anomalies and opportunities for improvement. With dimensions such as procedures, gross charges, net payments, gross collections, A/R, and more available, users can access reports that filter on payer, location, patient type, service type, and other helpful views. Denial reports add value by helping to identify the specific source of such rejected claims so that corrective actions can be addressed promptly. Additionally, physician-level reports give practice managers key insight into staff productivity to help streamline operations.

Built on the IBM Cognos Connection platform, the Provider Performance Dashboard is available via any standard web browser, giving HAP’s billing clients direct, reliable, anytime access to their data. Administrator controls allow practices to enable or restrict which employees can view specific reports based on the duties of their individual jobs.

Commenting on the release, HAP’s President, Brian Effron, states that, “Our clients have entrusted HAP with their financial health for over twenty years because we deliver a combination of people, process, and technology that is hard to match.” He adds that, “Our new Provider Performance Dashboard is consistent with our historic approach. We see it as a modern means to enhance the conversations we are already having with our clients every day as part of our high service standard. Some billing vendors offer boxed BI reports thinking it will reduce the need for client dialogue and thus their servicing costs. HAP takes the opposite approach. We want our Provider Performance Dashboard to facilitate more and better conversations between our team of RCM experts and our clients because that is the essence of our value as a company.”

The launch of the Provider Performance Dashboard follows a multi-month beta testing period incorporating input from a select group of existing HAP client practices. As the service begins to roll-out to more billing clients, ongoing user feedback will drive the development of new features and reports that will be made available in subsequent releases.
