Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) September 28, 2015 -- Attention, Atlanta writers. Maximum Screenwriting is coming to Atlanta. (http://www.maximumscreenwriting.com)
What do HBO, Showtime, Warner Brothers, MGM, DreamWorks, 20th Century Fox, Comedy Central, ABC, and NBC have in common? Jeff Schimmel. Schimmel has created, developed, written and produced numerous TV shows and feature films for Hollywood studios, networks, production companies, and Oscar-winning actors.
After a number of amateur writers asked Schimmel for advice, he realized he had the ability to tutor potential writers. He developed a list of important steps to understand the industry -- which then became a workshop, and is now a comprehensive weekend course, Maximum Screenwriting. It is coming to Atlanta in November.(http://www.maximumscreenwriting.com)
Since 2009, Jeff has traveled the country mentoring amateur and professional writers who have considered becoming a professional writer for TV or film. In the seminar, writers receive a complete education in writing for all genres of TV and film, including story building, structure, character development, dialogue, and outlining.
Each day, writers will learn the nuts and bolts of screenwriting, and also the strictly enforced, zero tolerance standards required by film studios and TV networks.
A workshop like Maximum Screenwriting shares what books can't teach; what most writers and producers won't tell amateur writers. Schimmel, with over 30 years of experience in television, film, stand-up comedy and film and radio coaches potential writers on techniques, skills, and inside tips that can help a writer write successfully for TV and film.
Jeff's "How To Kill Procrastination" segment provides the tools needed to destroy writer's block.
Testimonials:
"I highly recommend Jeff's seminar to teach screenwriting and the realities of the entertainment industry. His lessons on structure, outlining, and defeating procrastination are, alone, worth the price of admission - and comprise only a tiny fraction of the course." - Dante Bacani, President - Chicago Screenwriters Network
"If you hope to work in the industry, you have to learn to write like a professional - and Jeff's insights, enthusiasm, and no nonsense approach will help you understand what it takes to make it as a working writer in Hollywood." - Joe Fortunato, Professor, Screenwriting & Film - Arizona State University
"My advice to writers: take as many notes as you possibly can. The amount of information Jeff shares is astounding, but you'll walk away on Sunday being able to use it." - Gabe Abelson, Writer/Producer -- The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Politically Incorrect
