Michael McAfee Appears on BetterWorldians Radio to Discuss Museum of the Bible
Wayne, PA (PRWEB) September 25, 2015 -- BetterWorldians Radio today announced that Michael McAfee, Director of Bible Engagement at the Museum of the Bible, is a featured guest on the online show and podcast (BetterWorldiansRadio.com). BetterWorldians Radio inspires with the people and ideas that are making the world a better place.
McAfee discussed the Museum of the Bible, which is currently being built in Washington, D.C. It will provide guests with an immersive and personalized experience as they explore the history, narrative, and impact of the Bible. “We believe that when the Bible has been properly applied to life, it makes the world a better place… Not only has it changed the world in the past, but it has the power to change the world again, today,” said McAfee.
The museum will house the Green Collection, a compilation of 40,000 objects that includes some of the rarest and most significant biblical texts and artifacts, from the Dead Sea Scrolls to Elvis Presley’s Bible.
BetterWorldians Radio co-host Ray Hansell said, “We had a personal tour of the Verbum Domini II exhibit currently on display here in Philadelphia which gave us a glimpse at some of the remarkable artifacts of the Green Collection. It was moving to be in the presence of just these few antiquities that have shaped the course of human history. The experience of the entire museum is sure to be extraordinary.”
Verbum Domini II: God’s Word Goes Out to the Nations is a special exhibit celebrating the World Meeting of Families Congress and the visit of Pope Francis to the United States. It is on display at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia through Saturday, September 26th.
The Museum of the Bible is set to open to the public in November 2017.
