It's no secret that We Insure has been expanding at a rapid rate in Florida and Georgia throughout the past 5 years. Their most recent addition to the team is one that they are especially proud of – Chris Salameh of Jacksonville, Florida. It was in September of 2015 that Salameh officially became a We Insure agency owner and joined “Team WE.” Salameh is no rookie when it comes to selling insurance. In fact, he's been the President of The Salameh Insurance Group - a multimillion dollar agency in Jacksonville - for 6 years now. Salameh was able to start, and grow his agency with the help of his friends, family, business associates, colleagues – and a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication. So then why, after 6 years of successfully running his agency on his own, would he choose to merge with We Insure Group? I was lucky enough to get the answer to that question, and several more, from Chris Salameh himself:
Q: How did you find out about We Insure – and how long did it take you to make the decision to partner with the company?
Salameh: Initially, I met Phil Visali, Ron Kuruvilla & Lucas Waring at a Safeco event and their model really caught my attention. Once I got some more information regarding their franchise opportunity, I decided I'd make the trip to their corporate office to meet the Executive Team and really get a feel of how they operate. To be completely honest, once that meeting was finished, the decision to partner with them was almost instant.
Q: What do you think will be some of the advantages of being a We Insure agency owner as opposed to an independent agency owner?
Salameh: Where do I begin...I've been running my own agency, servicing the Jacksonville/St. John's area for about 6 years. But there comes a point in time, which I'm sure all insurance agents can agree with, that the service work starts to take up more of your day than the actual selling. We Insure has a fully licensed and trained service department at their corporate headquarters, so I no longer have to worry about that anymore. Market access is another obvious advantage. They're partnered with over 100 insurance carriers in Florida, so I have an unlimited amount of choices to where I want to place a policy. Something like that not only makes my job easier, but it really benefits my customers. No one likes to be told they're out of luck if their rate goes up. My insureds want choices, and they want to save money – and that is exactly what I am able to offer them now.
Q: What excites you most about being a part of “Team WE”?
Salameh: Making money! Just kidding. Aside from the business aspect, We Insure has such a different culture than I've ever come across. They treat their partners & employees like family – and that's something you can both see and feel when you walk into one of their offices. Being a part of something like that is really important. The only competition they have within the company is friendly. When I was in training at their main office I heard someone say “There's no 'I' in TEAM – and there's no “I” in WE, either.” I think that kind of mentality is what really makes a company go far.
Q: Where do you see your agency, and We Insure as a whole, within the next few years?
Salameh: If things keep going as planned, my agency will be the most well-known agency in Northeast Florida – and We Insure will be well on its way to becoming a national premier insurance franchise!
September was a big month for We Insure. The company CEO, Phil Visali, was also recognized as Northeast Florida's 2015 Ultimate CEO in the Jacksonville Business Journal – and he couldn't hide his excitement about the Chris Salameh partnership if he tried!
