We love Baltimore City, and want to provide a new entertainment option for residents and visitors to the city. There’s a lot of work that needs to be done, but we are determined to get there.

Engineered Fear Productions, a company that specializes in haunted attraction events, receives funding to renovate and restore Kaufman’s furniture store, which is located in Old Town Mall, Baltimore City, to open and operate in 2016.

Joe Hudson, founder of Engineered Fear Productions, has secured funding to begin the construction and renovations in the old Kaufman’s Furniture store building located in Old Town Mall. The funding will enable Engineered Fear Productions to renovate the Old Town Mall building, turning this 4-story, 40,000 square foot property into event space for the production of a haunted attraction.

“The entire Engineered Fear team is thrilled to finally be able to start the long awaited work on the building,” said Joe Hudson, founder of Engineered Fear Productions “In addition to the immediate construction work on the building, we are excited to finalize the scenes we have been planning and make this haunted house a truly thrilling experience for all who attend. We love Baltimore City, and want to provide a new entertainment option for residents and visitors to the city. There’s a lot of work that needs to be done, but we are determined to get there.”

Initially planned to open in October 2015, renovation and construction of the old Kaufman’s building is set to occur over the next 3-4 months. Engineered Fear Productions has chosen to move the opening date of their haunted house to October of 2016. The team plans to use the extra time to create an unforgettable Haunted house experience. The goal is to distinguish themselves from other haunts in the area with an indoor event, intricate designs, immersive scenes, and close proximity to popular areas of Baltimore.
