Run & Tri Rehoboth Beach Boasts Delaware's Only Running Store With Certified Pose Method Running Coaches
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware (PRWEB) September 29, 2015 -- Run & Tri Rehoboth Beach, Delmarva's only running store staffed with certified Pose, RRCA, USAT and ITCA coaches, announced that owners Patrick McGowen and Julia Karpov-McGowen successfully completed the Pose Method Certified Technique Specialist process.
The Pose Method is a system for teaching efficient human movement developed by 2-time Olympic Coach, scientist and former athlete, Dr. Nicholas S. Romanov in 1977. Pose Method techniques have proven to prevent injuries and to dramatically improve athletic performance.
In fact, the Pose Method is quickly becoming a standard part of the U.S. Army's core training regiment. Hundreds of servicemen and women, responsible for the physical training and rehabilitation plans for Soldiers who are injured in Basic Combat Training, are Pose Method Certified Technique Specialists.
This past summer, Patrick and Julia studied under the founder and creator of Pose, Dr. Nicholas S. Romanov and passed the rigorous certification process in September, 2015.
"If you look at what the running world has taught us for the last 30 years, producing running shoes with the giant heels and all the different stability and motion control innovations, we've been conditioned to think that landing on our heels is the proper way to run," says Julia.
Patrick adds: "By landing on our heels, we're eliminating the runner's most effective form of shock absorption - the human foot! If you see a toddler run or if you see someone running barefoot, they'll run naturally in Pose, because the body is defaulting to it's most natural way to absorb shock. While we don't suggest you run barefoot, we do believe the Pose technique is the best way to learn how to run more naturally and minimize running related injuries."
Run & Tri Rehoboth Beach only carries running shoes that support natural, injury-free running and provides free-gait analysis to anyone interested. Additionally, they provide running technique classes to runners interested in reducing injuries and increasing running efficiency.
