Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 29, 2015 -- Long-running on-line Pagan educational institution, Witch School International, has announced its conversion from a for-profit school to being the education arm of the Correllian Nativist Tradition (a 501c3 non-profit, with which the school has been affiliated), and will be operated by the Correllian Educational Ministries as of October 1st.
Rev. Don Lewis, Chancellor and First Priest of the Correllian Nativist Tradition, recently sent out an announcement to the 250,000 Witch School students world-wide, stating: “We are deeply grateful for your many years of support for Witch School, and we pledge to you that the School will continue for many years to come. Like any comparable institution, we hope to see Witch School continue for generations. Ensuring that is what this transition is all about.”
Witch School has roots going back nearly two decades, growing out of an email-based teaching program by Rev. Lewis called “The Daily Spell", which offered free lessons on Wicca and related subjects. As the popularity of this expanded, a more in-depth educational platform was needed, and in 2001 the web-based school was opened, offering both training for Correllian clergy aspirants, as well as an ever-expanding offering of other metaphysical subjects.
As Witch School International transitions to Correllian Educational Ministries, it has on-line students from 209 countries, offers courses in 17 Departments, provides extensive .PDF and video libraries, maintains nearly 1,000 student and mentor-run special interest groups on their extensive “social” site, and even produces daily live radio programming on-line.
The shift to being a non-profit had been planned for several years, and promises to ensure that the school will continue as a strong and vibrant entity far into the future.
