Hallmark Abstract Service President Michael Haltman was named to the Board of the Heroes To Heroes Foundation (HTH), a 501 (c)(3) that works tirelessly to help military veterans suffering with PTSD through life-changing journeys to Israel. The goal of HTH is to reverse the current trend of more than 22 veterans a day committing suicide, hoping ultimately to help bring that number to 0!

Heroes To Heroes Foundation works tirelessly to 'provide a spiritual healing, suicide prevention, and peer support program for veterans who suffer from Moral Injury and PTSD.'

HTH accomplishes this mandate through life-changing journeys to Israel that have proven to be extremely successful in helping those U.S. veterans suffering with PTSD overcome it and emotionally thrive.

Regardless of religious affiliation HTH takes a team of 10 veterans at a time on a journey to Israel that combines spirituality with social and emotional bonds that are forged with Israeli counterparts who may also be dealing with many of the same issues.

Each team member is expected to commit to his or her group and support and be there for one another to help with the transition back to civilian life.

Beyond the success of the program, by itself incredibly impressive, what also drew Michael to Heroes to Heroes is the fact that it is currently an entirely volunteer organization and that over 90% of the funds raised go directly to serving our veterans.

Heroes To Heroes Founder Judy Schaffer has done an incredible job taking this organization from a standing start to where it is today, with a new group of veterans heading to Israel on October 18, 2015.

For any individuals, organizations or businesses that would like to learn how they can help Heroes To Heroes Foundation with its critically important work, contact Michael Haltman and he will make the appropriate introductions.
