Gilbert will be speaking on a panel titled, “Privacy Level Agreement Version 2: A Compliance Tool for Providing Cloud Services in the EU,” at 4 p.m. on Sept. 30.
The session will discuss Privacy Level Agreement Version 2, a tool that provides cloud service providers with a resource to describe how they comply with mandatory personal data protection legal requirements in the EU. It also provides cloud customers with the ability to evaluate and compare the level of personal data protection offered by different cloud service providers.
Gilbert focuses her practice on U.S. and global data privacy and security in a wide variety of markets, including, among others, cloud computing, big data, connected devices, robots, and other emerging technologies.
