Gift Card Network Completes its Largest Regional Summit in Orlando, Florida
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) October 06, 2015 -- The GCN holds a series of regional educational and network summits with content and activities specifically focused on the gift card industry. These summits allow comfortable working relationships and respect to form among a variety of merchants, vendors, and distributors to gather together to network and share best practices.
The GCN has made great strides in building networking opportunities and educational content at its regional industry summits. Creative discussions happen within collaborative groups, and these events have seen a surge in member attendance since they were introduced in 2013. This Orlando summit drew over eighty attendees in a mix of all member types. On September 23rd, Fandango hosted a private dinner at one of Darden’s restaurants, Bahama Breeze, and on the evening of the Summit, Disney Gift Card Services and Powerhouse Brands arranged to have dinner, desserts and a private viewing of the fireworks at Epcot ®. Hyatt Hotels was an additional sponsor of the event.
The event featured educational content, including topics such as: “Kids and Gift Cards - Survey Results on People's Attitudes About Giving and Helping Kids Redeem Gift Cards,” presented by GiftCards.com, “A Merchant’s Perspective: Disney Gift Card Program Overview,” presented by Disney Gift Cards, and “Gift Card Fulfillment Trends of 2015,” presented by Travel Tags, Inc. In addition, there was a lively discussion panel on Digital Gift Cards, “Opening Up New Distribution Channels and Opportunities for Merchants.” lead by a group of industry experts.
“Attending a Gift Card Network Summit gives members an opportunity to intimately collaborate with key partners in a workshop-like setting to discuss important challenges occurring in the gift card industry, learn from each other, and build strong relationships” states Jim Moriarty, PBM Graphics
“Hosting a Summit is one way to support the Gift Card Network and our partners and peers in the Gift Card Industry” states Gabe Resendez, Darden Restaurants
“Gift Card Network events always feel comfortable and open, like an industry family of gift card geeks. Everyone did a fantastic job. This event was amazing,” states Matt Davies, Powerhouse Brands.
