Belong Magazine Launches Pilot Issue and Kickstarter Campaign
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 01, 2015 -- Belong Magazine, a magazine for women about the art and community of blogging, debuted its inaugural issue this September. The Pilot contains a sampling of topics readers can come to expect in future issues such as technical tips, networking opportunities, conference features and stories from other bloggers that span from inspiration to recipes and beyond.
“As a blogger and creative, I believe Belong is going to be a useful tool for women to encourage, connect and inspire one another. We pursued the Pilot Issue without any outside funding—that’s how committed to the magazine and the vision of the magazine we are,” says Brooke Saxon-Spencer, founder and editor of Belong Magazine.
Belong Magazine is a bi-monthly digital and print magazine that is the first publication of its kind specifically designed to celebrate the women’s world of blogging, from websites to social media and beyond. The magazine’s features are designed to help women navigate the expanse of the web by curating a selection of meaningful and relevant content, all with the express purpose of encouraging women and building community. The magazine hopes to show women how and where to take their on-screen relationships offline to make real life connections, to find a place where they belong.
More than words on pages, Belong is a collection of images and articles purposefully designed to be a beautiful product all on it’s own. The magazine is not solely offered digitally as the creators of Belong believe there is merit in the printed product: the finish, the paper quality—all the physical elements join together to create a piece that is worthy of coffee table placement.
“There is something about holding a magazine in your hand: the feel of the paper, the crack of the binding, the smell of the ink. Though many creatives spend countless hours online, they still value a sense of tactility. They appreciate the physical product,” states Brooke.
Interested individuals can obtain the digital or printed edition of the magazine through the website at http://www.belong-mag.com/shop.
In conjunction with the pilot issue launch, Belong began a Kickstarter Campaign to raise funds to pursue the next issue. Those wishing to support the magazine can visit http://www.kickstarter.com and search “belong”. The campaign to raise $12,500 runs through October 17th.
The next issue of Belong Magazine is schedule to be released mid-November and will be twice the length of the Pilot Issue.
