Power Distributors, a leading provider of sales and service solutions for the outdoor power industry, announced today that as part of its commitment to provide customers with quality products, it will offer two leading alcohol free fuel treatment brands.

“We want to ensure we are offering our dealers the best products that meet the needs of outdoor power equipment owners,” said Darold Dunham, vice-president of marketing. “It’s critical for outdoor power equipment owners to use fuel treatments and stabilizers to keep their fuel fresh, and combat the challenges with today’s ethanol-blended fuel. We believe two of the best options on the market are Briggs & Stratton Advanced Formula Fuel Treatment & Stabilizer and the STA-BIL family of products. Both of these product lines are alcohol-free, following the recommendation from Briggs & Stratton.”

Over 90 percent of today’s fuel contains up to 10 percent ethanol – a form of alcohol – that can attract moisture and cause corrosion of metal parts. “As the world’s largest manufacturer of gasoline-powered engines for the outdoor power equipment industry, Briggs & Stratton does not recommend adding more alcohol for use in gasoline powered engines,” stated Steve Lavender, vice-president of engineering, Briggs & Stratton.

Power Distributors has offered Briggs & Stratton Advanced Formula Fuel Treatment & Stabilizer since 2012, when it was first launched in the marketplace. Briggs & Stratton, the world’s largest manufacturer of gasoline-powered engines for outdoor power equipment, developed its five-in-one formula as a single solution to stale gas and ethanol-blended fuel problems.

“Ethanol can wreak havoc on small engines, when fuel is not properly managed. Our entire line up of STA-BIL® Brand Gasoline Additives are alcohol-free and are designed to combat the side effects associated with using ethanol blended fuels in small engines, said Matthew Wing, STA-BIL® Brand Manager. The STA-BIL Brand and the entire Gold Eagle Team supports the O.P.E. Industry in this important initiative to educate the public regarding fuel additives that do not contain alcohol."

Power Distributors is now offering STA-BIL fuel treatments and stabilizers, for automotive, marine, and outdoor power equipment. STA-BIL offers a range of products that are specially formulated to stabilize and treat against ethanol-blended fuel.
