As Summer 2015 comes to a close, GEDA USA is primed to unveil their newest direction in expansion and growth. Over the last year, along with GEDA GMBH in Germany, GEDA USA has been devising the perfect way to directly distribute equipment, providing better customer service and more competitive pricing to customers in the process. Now, the time has come for GEDA USA to make that move, orchestrating not just distribution, but sales, engineering, project management, installation, and service for all GEDA products in the North America: the US, Canada, and Mexico.

New Facility Supports Increase in High Quality Production

Johann Sailer, GEDA’s managing director and member of the board of directors of the German Engineering Federation, has laid the groundwork for the growth of GEDA USA. In 2013, GEDA opened a massive new facility in Germany. Concerning this expansion, Sailer stated, “This investment was necessary so that GEDA USA can continue to comply with high quality and production standards and meet the increasing demand in the international market. The new facility will enable GEDA USA to serve customers that require big lifts for installations and projects even faster.” GEDA USA has done everything in their power to be a world leader in vertical transportation, pioneering new, innovative, state-of-the-art elevator systems that are engineered with expertise and certified to meet all the requirements of the industrial market, including customers in general construction, power, petrochemical and refining, offshore, cement, and mining. By manufacturing systems in Germany, GEDA USA assures utmost quality control.

GEDA’s Commitment to the US Market

With recent worldwide investments toward becoming a strong, sole-standing presence in the US, GEDA USA feels that providing direct distribution and servicing is a necessary step. GEDA has a rich, 100-year history in rack and pinion industrial elevators and hoist solutions, spanning the globe and serving a huge variety of customers. “We’re here to stay, and we are committed to the US market and US customers--to providing competitively priced, high quality vertical transportation solutions and services,” says Herb Calles, VP of GEDA USA. “GEDA USA is willing to work with clients to custom engineer the right products for their vertical transportation challenges, and making sure that they have local technical and parts replacement support for the long term.” With a recently constructed, 46,550 square foot facility in Houston and a focus on attracting top young talent to their team, GEDA USA is quite confident that they have the technical, sales, and marketing support to remain a leading contributor to the worldwide growth of industrial elevators. Their 248,000 sq ft facility area and ever-growing staff of nearly 500 employees ensure that GEDA USA has the necessary diversity in capabilities to take the best possible care of customers.

GEDA USA’s Mission

Along with this new aspect of GEDA USA’s business, the company mission has become solid and clear: GEDA USA will now see projects through from start to finish—from feed engineering through installation, commissioning, and turnover to the customer—and then GEDA USA will provide after-market services such as maintenance, parts, and servicing/inspection through the entire life cycle of the elevator.
