The Prince George’s County Planning Department of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) announced today that its PGAtlas website has been updated to incorporate the latest web-based mapping technology and advanced user functionality that provides greater accessibility. The updates provide users with a series of newly expanded and enhanced search capabilities for locating property and development-related information through multiple web browsers and devices.
With the goal of enhancing the user experience, the PGAtlas website updates include:
- Upgrade to the latest, industry standard web mapping technology designed for today’s advanced web browsers.
- New, enhanced features for performing text and map-based searches as well as streamlined tools for sharing custom generated maps with other PGAtlas users.
- Ability to connect to PGAtlas on Wi-Fi enabled, tablet devices and not just at the desk top.
“Our PGAtlas website has always provided our users with easy access to information, but we still constantly challenge ourselves to make it even easier, better, and faster,” said Michael Shean, GIS Coordinator with the Prince George’s County Planning Department. “The objective is to continue to improve access to property and development information within Prince George’s County.”
County residents and stakeholders are invited to a live demonstration and to learn more about the expanded features on October 7, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Council Hearing Room of the County Administration Building located on the first floor at 14741 Governor Oden Bowie Drive in Upper Marlboro, MD.
