A Pink Tie Affair at the Masquerade Ball Will Benefit Breast Cancer Patients
Raleigh, North Carolina (PRWEB) October 01, 2015 -- 1in9 is pleased to begin Breast Cancer Awareness Month by announcing that the Fourth Annual Pink Tie Affair Gala will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at 6:00 p.m., at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, located at 421. S. Salisbury Street.
The past three Pink Tie Affair Galas have raised a total of $230,000 that has been used by 1in9 to assist breast cancer patients in the throes of both treatment and financial crisis. Through the generosity of corporate sponsors, individual donors and the guests who purchase auction and raffle prizes, more than 650 women being treated at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, have been provided with assistance that prevented them from discontinuing or delaying life-saving breast cancer treatment.
This year’s Pink Tie Affair is being presented with a twist – the Pink Tie Affair is at the Masquerade Ball. Guests behind masks will be treated to entertainment, music, dancing, drinks and a seated dinner all while bidding on fabulous silent and live auctions. Items range from private wine cellar dinners to sporting tickets to pampering packages to luxury vacation destinations including a villa in the Caribbean that comes with its own chef.
1in9 is a Raleigh, North Carolina-based nonprofit that was created in 2010 during the time its founder, Stephanie Beguelin, was fighting her own breast cancer battle. This young mother of three children turned her own illness into a positive movement that betters the lives of other cancer patients and their families. Stephanie Beguelin is a cancer survivor and 1in9 works each and every day to support other women on their journey into survivorhood.
