Symes successfully started his own advertising agency in Johannesburg, South Africa, growing the business from a single employee to one of the top agencies in the region. Throughout his agency career at Saatchi and Saatchi, Honest Mechanics Advertising and The Javelin Marketing Group, Symes has worked with key, high-profile brands such as AVON, BMW, Land Rover, Toyota, Lexus, VISA and Adobe.
Prior to his role at UPTRACS, Symes most recently served as CXO at The Javelin Marketing Group and the email marketing division within Omnicom Group, the world’s second-largest advertising holding group. He co-ran the agency with and was responsible for client satisfaction, new business and digital product development. He was also an integral team member in the merger between Innovyx and the Javelin Marketing Group.
