iLab Solutions Hires Vincenzo Di Bernardo as New Manager of System Integrations
Boston, MA (PRWEB) October 01, 2015 -- After consulting for iLab Solutions, the industry leader in core facility management software, Vincenzo Di Bernardo has formally joined the growing iLab team. Di Bernardo is no stranger to the facility management world, having worked with a broad range of universities and research laboratories. He makes a strong and invaluable asset to the team with his wealth of unique skills and experience, particularly with financial system integrations and nanofabrication facilities.
As the new Manager of System Integrations, Di Bernardo is responsible for overseeing all integrations between iLab and customer’s financial (ERP) systems and ID (Single Sign On) services, as well as leading a team of engineers in this development. In addition, he will be responsible for the design of certain new features and enhancements for iLab’s service, especially those suited for nano and scheduling facilities.
“In this new role, Di Bernardo brings a diverse skill set to the team,” says Sriram Gollapalli, iLab COO. “His knowledge and experience with financial systems integrations, building systems for researchers, and project management have proven to be incredible assets in past endeavors, and they will certainly prove useful as part of the iLab team. In addition, his familiarity with nano facilities offers iLab great potential for expansion in this growing area.”
Di Bernardo designed, developed and implemented CLEAN (CNS Lab Equipment Access Network), a web-based lab management system, while at Harvard University's Center for Nanoscale Systems. Before formally joining the team, he brought this expertise to iLab initially as a consultant and helped iLab develop its own system for shared-use core facilities.
“We are thrilled for Vincenzo to officially join iLab,” stated Heather Lorenz, iLab VP, Business Development. “His guidance in developing our new kiosk and hardware interlock features proved extremely intuitive, and his insight will certainly help in the future. Vincenzo’s experience with nanofabrication and clean room technology is second to none, and iLab looks forward to expanding in these areas with his help.”
Di Bernardo will be assisting iLab’s sales team with technical expertise as iLab launches one of its newest feature sets, Instrument Access Control. This module allows core facilities to better manage access of shared equipment through use of an iLab Bridge. Facilities will be able to define when and by whom instruments can be used, locking out those that do not have access. In addition, this tool can be used to monitor real-time usage and compare against scheduled time.
