RiseSmart Earns Distinction as a Top Workplace for Women
(PRWEB) October 01, 2015 -- RiseSmart, the leading provider of contemporary career transition services, was recognized by Great Place to Work® and Fortune as one of the 100 Best Workplaces for Women in 2015. RiseSmart ranked 28 out of the 100 companies recognized and is one of 25 technology companies included on the list.
From among the 637 companies that participated, RiseSmart and the other winners were selected based on evaluations by more than 135,600 female employees on Great Place to Work’s Trust Index© employee survey. The survey considered a variety of factors, including fairness of their company’s promotions, employees’ access to information and leadership, the level of support for employees’ personal lives and the degree of inclusiveness and connection employees feel with colleagues.
“At RiseSmart we strive to give all of our employees the best chance to have a fulfilling career,” said Sanjay Sathé, RiseSmart president and CEO. “As a technology company, it is an honor to be recognized as a great workplace for women. It’s rewarding to know how much our employees enjoy working at RiseSmart and are eager to help others get back to work through the products and services we offer.”
In a $100 million deal announced last week, RiseSmart was acquired by Randstad Holding nv (AMS: RAND), one of the largest HR services companies in the world. Like its parent company, RiseSmart is a supporter of women in the workplace and has a history of hiring and swiftly promoting talented women.
“My experience at RiseSmart has shown me that I can have a family and a successful career at the same time,” said Business Operations Manager Kalani Yoon. “I was able to use my first maternity leave as a transition period when I moved into a new role with more responsibility. After my daughter was born, I was able to maintain a work-life balance, have a positive impact on the company and work closely with the leadership team.”
Yoon joined RiseSmart as part of the customer engagement team in 2009, just two years after the company was founded. Over the course of several years, Yoon worked toward the leadership role she holds currently. During that time she also married, started a family, and just gave birth to her second child.
“The companies on this list are leaders who recognize the strategic importance of creating workplaces that attract and support the best talent in their industries,” says Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work® United States. “According to our study, 100 percent of RiseSmart’s female employees say it is a great workplace,” says Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Great Place to Work’s Senior Editor.
