Web and mobile-based promotion designed to increase player engagement with more prizes

Shoutz, Inc. and the Multi-State Lottery Association (“MUSL”) have joined to offer Powerball® players the opportunity to play Powercode for chances to win a variety of exciting prizes from well-known national sponsors. Powercode is a web and mobile-based promotional campaign designed to increase engagement with players by rewarding loyalty through digital gameplay. Players can win prizes through online sweepstakes and instant-win games.

The first three Powercode promotions will run between October 24, 2015 and February 20, 2016, with the goal of increasing engagement between Powerball players and the national lottery brand. Players who enter the correct Powerball number (the red ball number drawn in each Powerball drawing) during the promotion, will be eligible to play an Instant Win game for a chance to win gift cards from national retailers. Players are also automatically entered into sweepstakes for a chance to win a series of grand prizes, including destination vacations and a new car. Players must be 18 or older to win. No purchase required to participate; promotion may not be available in some jurisdictions.

“This promotion will help Shoutz and MUSL build on what is already a successful relationship,” said Shoutz CEO Jim Mueller. “Powercode will help MUSL market smarter by adding value to customer experiences. Initiatives like Powercode keep customers coming back, which will help the lotteries selling Powerball continue to generate revenue for the good causes they support across the country.”

At the end of each promotion, Shoutz will measure and report key performance indicators to MUSL.

These types of promotions really appeal to today’s lottery player, helping to keep our games fresh and attractive to players.”

Powerball players will be able to access the Powercode promotion through, and Shoutz’s LotteryHUB mobile app, an official Powerball app. Each platform will include a link to Powercode’s dedicated HTML web page, which uses Shoutz’s proprietary customer engagement and loyalty rewards software.
