Meet Young Teen Author, Chris Avery, at the Collingswood Book Festival, Collingswood, NJ October 3, 2015
Voorhees, NJ (PRWEB) October 02, 2015 -- Come out and join the fun of the festival and meet Chris Avery the director of programs of Steppingstone Scholars in Philadelphia, Penn., which helps underserved students achieve academic success. Formerly an eighth-grade world cultures teacher and director of community and diversity at The Haverford School, he also consults for TURNING STONEchoice, a nonprofit dedicated to helping students make self-empowering choices and publisher of his most recent work, ANGST: Overcoming Freshman Year of High School, a young adult novel. He is also a recipient of the 2014 Teaching Tolerance Award for Excellence in Teaching.
Chris is offering an intriguing discussion of his work on Angst at 10:30am in tent 2 or again at 2:00pm for a panel discussion in tent 2...if it rains both events will be held in the gym.
