Mount Pleasant to Host TripleCare Demonstration and Press Conference
Monroe, OH (PRWEB) October 03, 2015 -- Mount Pleasant Retirement Village, 225 Britton Lane, Monroe, OH, will be hosting a live demonstration of TripleCare, the innovative telemedicine application and a press conference for local media on Tuesday, October 13 at 4PM in the community's Chapel. During this conference, participants will actually witness the program and equipment in operation with one of it's founding physicians Dr. David Chess. Dr. Chess will be available for questions and answers.
In an effort to remain at the forefront of innovation in the provision of superior care, Mount Pleasant Retirement Village continually implements new programs designed to enhance quality of care and patient satisfaction.
Collaborating with top doctors in the telemedicine field, Mount Pleasant is the first Ohio nursing center to introduce TripleCare, an After Hours Telemedicine Program allowing for advanced on-site acute care services for our patients 365 days per year. This one-of-a-kind program is designed to provide patients with immediate access to a physician to ensure that non-emergent conditions are quickly identified, stabilized and treated so that unnecessary re-hospitalizations do not occur.
Most nursing and rehabilitation center do not have doctors onsite after hours. If a patient has a serious medical issue, it will mostly likely result in a trip to the Emergency Room. This usually means hours of waiting, a sudden change in environment, and a stressful disruption to his or her life.
Nursing Centers that partner with Triple Care help to prevent this. By using state-of-the-art telemedicine tools, Triple Care’s doctors can speak directly with, examine, and help treat patients, without having to leave their beds. Triple Care doctors work closely with nurses and nursing center doctors to help prevent patients from taking an unnecessary trip to the hospital.
"We are excited to introduce TripleCare to our community. We believe that there are so many benefits for our patients and their families," commented Executive Director Stan Kappers.
