always do everything with passion, always add value, and give back everywhere you can so that you make a positive difference.

Ashley HomeStores have been recognized as some of the top performing HomeStores in the nation for the past 10 years, but recent and significant accolades have called out the organization’s long-standing commitment to social responsibility and servant leadership as keys to its success.

“To win any one of these awards is such an honor,” said Howard Fineman, Managing Member/CEO. “But to win all of them…to have our community, our guests and our peers choose us, is great validation that what we’re doing is working. We wouldn’t consider ourselves as growing successfully if we didn’t positively impact the community and make a difference.”

The recent awards center around the Jacksonville, FL Ashley HomeStores’ leadership and the impact of the organization’s philanthropy. Honors received over the past few months include: Best Furniture Store by the The Florida Times-Union’s Bold City Best Reader’s Poll; Winner of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s Partners in Philanthropy Award 2015; Jacksonville Business Journal’s Ultimate CFO 2015 (Jan Pozin), and Jacksonville Business Journal’s Ultimate CEO 2015 (Howard Fineman).

During the presentation at the Ultimate CEO reception this past week, Fineman shared the following beliefs that the HomeStore team holds with regard to their role in the community: “always do everything with passion, always add value, and give back everywhere you can so that you make a positive difference.”

Strong partnerships, such as with the Jacksonville Jaguars, has furthered Ashley HomeStores’ branding and growth over the past several years. And, it’s emphasis on Hope To Dream, Ashley’s main social responsibility program that gives free beds to local kids in need, has further engaged the Jaguars, making the partnership one of the most notable in the nation and is key to the growing recognition Ashley HomeStores continue to receive.

“Howard Fineman and his Ashley HomeStores team have as big of hearts for giving back to our community as anyone I know”, said Scott Massey, SVP of Corporate Partnerships for the Jacksonville Jaguars. “We are so proud of what ‘Hope to Dream’ has become – in Jacksonville and now in other NFL markets – and it wouldn’t have happened without the passion and conviction for serving others that Howard and his team demonstrate every day.”

Additional relationships include the Greater Jacksonville Area USO, K9s for Warriors, Northeast Florida Salvation Army and the 26.2 with Donna and Donna Foundation. Over the past 9 years, Fineman’s HomeStores have assisted in supporting the fight against breast cancer, including contributions worth approximately $300,000.

“When our team is engaged, there is more energy and more excitement in our showrooms. It’s obviously working.” says Fineman. “Ashley is the number one furniture brand in the world, and the HomeStores are the number one furniture and mattress store in America, not just here on the First Coast. Keeping the team connected to our community and leveraging our leadership position to make a positive impact and do the most good we can… that’s the kind of stuff you can do when you’re number one. I see it as my obligation to help empower our team to make an even greater difference each and everyday; frankly, I couldn't be prouder of our team, our community, and our partners, for their ongoing commitment and passion.”

A portion of almost every sale at the local Ashley HomeStores goes toward the above initiatives so that every purchase truly makes a difference locally.
