Benjamin Butterfield Joins Greenberg Traurig Orlando
ORLANDO, Fla. (PRWEB) October 02, 2015 -- International law firm Greenberg Traurig today announced the addition of Benjamin P. Butterfield, who joined the firm’s Orlando office as an Of Counsel in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group. Butterfield focuses his practice on the areas of mergers and acquisitions, compliance matters, governance, general corporate law and complex commercial agreements.
With more than 29 years of law firm, general counsel, and deal management experience, Butterfield has closed deals ranging in size from several million to over $1.5 billion. His prior experience includes private practice and serving as general counsel to public companies domiciled in the U.S. and abroad. Butterfield most recently worked at a Central Florida boutique firm.

Butterfield has broad experience in advising senior management and boards of directors; developing and executing business and legal strategies; building and leading U.S. and international legal departments; implementing strong global compliance programs; managing SEC compliance and public disclosure obligations; negotiating and implementing major corporate transactions in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and South America; deal execution; supervising risk management; and litigation management.
Butterfield received a law degree from Stetson University College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in history from Covenant College in Georgia.
