Streaming aerial video company ArrowData LLC of Las Vegas today announced a five-year agreement with local and federal agencies that permits the company to fly and film in the heavily regulated airspace above the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area, including the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown areas.

A product of ten months’ negotiation, the agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration, the Las Vegas Radar Approach Control (TRACON) and the North Las Vegas Airport makes it possible for ArrowData to provide the public with streaming live video of traffic, news and events in the community. The High Definition video can be captured for real-time broadcast from its control room at the Switch SuperNAP and distributed over the Internet via its http://www.flyvegaslive.com website. It also can be stored and catalogued for other commercial, industrial or consumer purposes.

Beginning Oct. 12, 2015, the five-year exceptional agreement permits ArrowData to operate its manned aircraft within and above the Class B airspace over the Las Vegas Metro Area with air traffic control coordination and approval. The company recently flew over Las Vegas for live video-streaming of the Life is Beautiful art and music festival as well as the opening activities of football match-up between the University of Nevada Las Vegas Rebels and the Idaho State Bengals under standard FAA authority.

“This rare agreement for coordinated flights is exceptional and gives us known and trusted access for filming in the Las Vegas Metro airspace,” said retired USAF Lt. Col. Geoff Barnes, chief of technical and flight operations for ArrowData, “and reflects the professionalism and experience of our pilots and our procedures for operating safely in the public space.”

With the backing of the $450 million Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation, ArrowData LLC was founded in Nevada in 2014 to seize advantages in emerging opportunities for High Definition aerial video, captured by manned and unmanned aircraft and streamed over the ultra-fast network available in the Las Vegas Switch SuperNAP.

Flights over Las Vegas are streamed at ArrowData’s http://www.flyvegaslive.com website as well as its corporate website, http://www.arrowdata.com. Companies, public agencies and other organizations seeking information about ArrowData’s flying schedules, its aerial services, and sponsorship or other promotional opportunities can call 702-816-5087 or email info(at)arrowdata(dot)com
