Neptune Society of Northern California to Exhibit at 68th Annual Rio Vista Bass Festival and Derby
Fairfield, CA (PRWEB) October 07, 2015 -- Neptune Society of Northern California will also provide a number of fun giveaways to booth visitors. According to Amanda Kostenko, the Service Manager for the Neptune Society of Northern California Fairfield office, “Neptune Society of Northern California believes strongly in being involved in the community. We partner with our community to open conversations about what can be difficult topics for some people. We hope derby participants and festival goers will feel comfortable visiting us in a fun casual environment, to become aware of their options and to learn that we will be there for them should they have a need for us.”
Neptune Society of Northern California offers cremation services for individuals and families, both at the time of need, and on a pre-planned basis. These plans are all intended to help families make an informed decision and honor their loved one in the way that is most appropriate for their family.
Although a fishing contest and festival might not be the first place you’d expect to learn about cremation, Kostenko says, “We think that discussions about final plans such as cremation services should not be swept under the rug or ignored until a loved one passes away. We encourage people to consider their options during the happy times so that they are prepared when the more difficult times come. Educating yourself and openly discussing the options before there is a need makes the grieving process easier for families - being visible in the community is one way we can remind people of that.”
This year’s Bass Derby Festival promises to be an old-fashioned fun family festival with a carnival, car show, soap box derby, fireworks, and more. The festival will open with a variety of local artists for festival goers’ enjoyment, including musical acts from all genres including Rock & Roll, R&B, Soul, Pop, and Country on the Beer Garden stage
The Rio Vista Bass Derby and Festival is put on by the Rio Vista Chamber of Commerce and is the oldest Bass Derby on the West Coast. Anglers can choose between two fishing contests on the same ticket. Target lengths will be drawn at the start of the Derby early Friday morning for both Striped Bass and Sturgeon.
