Universal Asset Management Announces Shave 2 Save Fundraising Campaign to Benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation & The Dainty Warrior Project
Memphis, TN (PRWEB) October 08, 2015 -- Universal Asset Management, Inc. (UAM) announces its Shave 2 Save fundraising campaign to support the fight against breast and childhood cancers. Shave2Save.com launches today and will serve as the campaign’s donation portal. Proceeds will be split evenly and benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Dainty Warrior Project.
With the goal of raising $50,000 by the end of October, Keri Wright, Chairman & CEO; the UAM Management team; and several UAM employees have committed to shave their heads upon reaching this amount. The UAM team will track the campaign’s progress with a Boeing 747 – painting it pink in parallel with the amount of donations collected. The airplane is located at the UAM Aircraft Disassembly & Recycling Center in Tupelo, MS.
“UAM strongly believes in the importance of giving back and supporting our communities. With September marking childhood cancer awareness month and October focusing on breast cancer awareness, it just seemed like a natural fit to focus our fundraising efforts on both extraordinary causes,” said Keri Wright, Chairman & CEO. “To acknowledge the hardships and sacrifices patients endure, several members of the UAM team have agreed to shave our heads once we reach $50,000 (or exceed it). We are making a committed choice to shave our heads in solidarity with those that don’t have the choice. We hope this small gesture will signify our dedication and support to those fighting these difficult illnesses.”
