Colorado Nonprofit Week Awards Call for Nominations
Denver, CO (PRWEB) October 08, 2015 -- Colorado Nonprofit Association is accepting nominations for the 2016 Colorado Nonprofit Week Awards until Oct. 23, 2015. The awards recognize leaders who directly support the success of Colorado's nonprofit community.
Awards include:
• William Funk Award for Building Stronger Communities honors exceptional leaders who deliver solutions, are eager to do what is needed, and understand and respect the many diverse communities of Colorado.
• Legislator of the Year Award honors a member of the Colorado General Assembly who has demonstrated an extraordinary level of commitment to the goals and legislative priorities of Colorado nonprofits during the 2015 legislative session.
• Public Service Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes an individual whose career in public service, as an elected or appointed official, has exemplified a long-term commitment at the highest level to Colorado’s nonprofit sector.
• Excellence in Media Award recognizes individual media professionals or media companies that have enhanced awareness of Colorado nonprofits.
“Nonprofits are vital to building strong communities throughout Colorado,” said Renny Fagan, president and CEO of Colorado Nonprofit Association. “Colorado Nonprofit Week Awards give people a chance to recognize the extraordinary leaders who are making a difference in their own community.”
The 2016 Colorado Nonprofit Week Awards nomination form can be downloaded at http://www.coloradononprofits.org. Anyone can nominate an outstanding leader working within or supporting Colorado’s nonprofit community for an award.
Winners will be announced at the Colorado Nonprofit Weeks Awards Luncheon on March 16, 2016.
