St. Paul, MN and Los Angeles, CA, October 6, 2015 – LAKANA LLC today announced it has acquired Kixer, Inc., a leading advertising technology platform focused on optimizing and driving new mobile revenue streams for content publishers.

Kixer helps mobile marketers promote their products across a portfolio of over 400 premium web publications that in aggregate reach over 110 million unique visitors and generate 1.5 billion page views per month. Based in Los Angeles, Kixer’s unique native app recommendation units and marketplace are leveraged by over 80 app developers, including most of the top 50 grossing apps.

With the acquisition, LAKANA continues to focus on leveraging technology to bring revenue innovation to its local media platform customers. The LAKANA local media platform network will soon reach nearly 220 million unique users per month across 300 plus desktop and mobile sites. In aggregate, LAKANA websites reach 86% of the U.S population and 65% of the DMAs.
