Online Learning Experience Focuses on Helping Companies to Develop the Presence of their Employees to Advance Careers and Improve Productivity and Business Results in Today’s Workplace

Pearson is partnering with the Ariel Group to deliver a new online learning and development service that empowers organizations to improve employees’ communication skills and develop their presence in the workplace. Presence is the ability to make authentic connections through dynamic communication and is identified as an essential business skill in many global organizations. In today’s increasingly remote and fast-paced workplace environment, presence – which is sped up by technology and challenged by remote and virtual team collaboration – can advance careers, cements relationships, and gets ideas heard and valued. The two organizations are working together to take a unique approach to teaching presence, which uses principles from actor training, to deliver an online learning experience that works at scale – so that an entire organization can develop the presence of their people.

Through the partnership, leading organizations in sectors such as financial services, insurance, consumer products, and high-tech will have access to the Presence Essentials, an online training course, via the Intrepid Learning Hub™ online learning environment, which delivers effective instruction through short-form content, applied practice, and highly interactive social features. This learner-centered experience allows people to assess their own skills, learn the four elements of a powerful presence, create a personal value proposition, and practice presence techniques from the stage that will help them in business. Practical guidance to authentically engage in person, in writing, and in the virtual world round out the experience.
