Mosaic Church Unveils Grant Program for West Philadelphia
West Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) October 07, 2015 -- Mosaic Community Church announced the availability of $26,000 in grant funding available to local organizations, community groups, and residents with capital projects designed to benefit West Philadelphia. The funding is part of Mosaic’s “Building It Together” program, which was founded in 2012 by the church as part of a commitment to give away 10 percent of all donations to renovate a new worship space and community hub at 51st and Sansom St.
Mosaic will disburse grant funding for West Philadelphia projects in the 19139, 19143, or 19104 zip codes through two programmatic initiatives:
- An “Infrastructure Grant Program”: up to $6,000 per grant to 501(c)(3) organizations for capital-intensive improvements to community assets.
- A “Community Partnership Program”: up to $3,000 per grant to neighbors associations, blocks of residents, or other community groups to partner with Mosaic members on a project that corresponds with documented community priorities.
Infrastructure Grant Program applications are due October 25, 2015. Community Partnership Program applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through June 30, 2016.
“Mosaic Community Church’s vision is to make our great city even better by joining in Jesus’ ongoing work in our world,” said Brad Zinn, Senior Pastor at Mosaic. “The Building It Together grant program will help us partner with local organizations and community groups in West Philadelphia in a collective commitment to see that vision become reality.”
