Sevatec Announces Appointment of Balan Ayyar as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Ayyar originally joined the executive leadership team in August 2014 as the COO. In his new capacity, Ayyar will oversee all of Sevatec’s operations, strategic growth and delivery teams as he leads Sevatec’s transformation into a leading mid-tier firm.

Balan Ayyar is a senior executive with more than 15 years of experience leading award-winning organizations in complex operations involving national security, joint operations, and intelligence. He spent 26 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Brigadier General from command of forces in combat where he led a Combined Joint Interagency Task Force of soldiers, sailors, Airmen and Marines protecting the U.S., Afghan and coalition forces and developing Rule of Law. Prior to combat, Brig. Gen. Ayyar led the $232 million, 2,600 person, sales, advertising, marketing and accessions arm of the USAF through a significant cultural and operational transformation to its best performance in history.
Balan Ayyar earned his B.S. in Political Science from the Air Force Academy, M.S. in Industrial Resource Management from the National Defense University, M.A. in Public Administration from Auburn University and M.S.S. from the Air University. He served as a White House Fellow and is a Member of the Council of Foreign Relations. In addition, he is an executive education graduate of several programs including the Senior Fellows Program at Harvard University.
