New Impact-Resistant LED Linear Washdown Fixture from RAB Offers Maintenance-Free Alternative to Fluorescent Lighting
Northvale, NJ (PRWEB) October 12, 2015 -- RAB Lighting introduces SHARK™, a high efficiency, impact-resistant and watertight linear LED fixture. SHARK provides a maintenance-free alternative to fluorescent lighting in hard-to-reach locations where re-lamping is difficult and costly. The fixture is ideal for industrial sites that require frequent wash-downs, car washes, tunnels and stairwells. SHARK comes in two sizes: 2 foot version available in 18 and 25 Watts, 4 foot version available in 36 and 50 Watts.
SHARK can withstand the toughest environments with its impact-resistant polycarbonate housing and lens. All fixture hardware is made with high-quality stainless steel to protect against rust and corrosion, even in the wettest conditions. SHARK is IP66 rated and UL listed for wet locations.
The fixture is offered with versatile mounting options that include chain, junction box, angled surface mount and vandal-resistant surface mount for added security. Installation is trouble-free, as quick-access latches provide tool-less entry and two tethers hold the fixture in place for easy single person wiring.
All SHARK models have a 100,000-hour LED lifespan, based on IES LM-80 results and TM-21 calculations, so maintenance and re-lamping requirements are dramatically reduced, adding even more savings.
SHARK is offered in a white color finish and in cool (5000K), neutral (4000K), warm neutral (3500K) or warm (3000K) color temperature options. A 0-10V dimming driver comes standard with120-277V models. 480V or 347V models are available with an on/off driver only. An emergency battery back-up option is also available for 120-277V models.
