A Personal Journey for Community Health: Cheyenne Fitness Boot Camp Celebrates Move to Larger Facility
Cheyenne, Wyo. (PRWEB) October 12, 2015 -- Sara Goossen, owner of Fit Body Boot Camp Cheyenne, will host a Grand Opening ceremony to celebrate her move to a larger facility. The event will take place on October 17, 2015 from 12-4 pm at her new location, 3531 East Lincolnway, Cheyenne, Wyo. There will be a raffle, games, a dunk tank, “teaser” boot camp sessions, and free barbeque.
Fit Body Boot Camp is the world’s fastest growing and most popular indoor fitness boot camp brand, with hundreds of locations worldwide. The boot camp’s unique brand of fitness combines individualized personal training from licensed professionals, clinically proven Afterburn workouts, and nutritional guidance to guarantee weight loss results.
“It is in our hearts to make a difference in the lives of 15,000 Cheyenne Residents by 2020,” said Goossen, “and with our new and larger space this is looking more and more like a reality.”
Goossen first decided to open her facility when she noticed that people in her community were struggling to lose weight on their own. She decided that her community needed a resource to give them positive motivation and help them sort out information from misinformation. To this day, that is the core of her mission. Her passion for health and fitness comes from a very personal place.
“I was a fat girl. I hated myself and my life, and I wanted to have a baby,” said Goossen. “I lost the weight, all 70 lbs. of it, and had 2 little girls in the process. I fell in love with the process. I fell in love with the journey and the struggle of it. I thought, if this girl can do it, I can help others.”
The event will feature “teaser” boot camps every 45 minutes. There will also be a raffle, games, a dunk tank, and free barbeque for lunch. All proceeds from the raffle will go to CLIMB Wyoming, a non-profit organization that gives single mothers the opportunity to finish their education, get out of poverty, and train for higher paying jobs.
Fit Bod Boot Camp Cheyenne is partnered with Sweat Angels, an organization that uses social media check-ins to support a number of different causes, including autism therapy, animal rescue, and providing clothing to children in need.
