Hamilton Honda is proud to announce that it recently sponsored the 28th Annual Notre Dame Golf Classic, held Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 at Jericho National Golf Club in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The event was rescheduled from its original June 1, 2015 date, which was rained out.

Over the years that it has been held, the Notre Dame Golf Classic has helped raise more than $500,000 to benefit tuition assistance for students and their families by supporting the Tuition Assistance Fund at Notre Dame High School. This year’s event raised $38,000 for the cause.

At this year’s Golf Classic, 120 golfers participated in the event, which consisted of a golf tournament followed by an auction hosted by Jessie Armstead, co-owner of Hamilton Honda. Armstead promoted auction items like autographed New York Giants jerseys, sideline tickets to a Giants game, and popular memorabilia.

“It’s always an honor to have the opportunity to participate in an event like the Notre Dame Golf Classic,” said Armstead. “The money we raise goes to such a worthy cause-- helping today’s students further their education-- and the entire Hamilton Honda family is proud to support it.”

This year’s Notre Dame Golf Classic honored legendary coach Charles “Chappy” Moore, who recently announced his retirement after a 34-year coaching career. He leaves Notre Dame High School with 298 wins, 19 CVC Championships, two West Jersey Football League Championships and two State Championships to his name. Coach “Chappy”’s career began in Philadelphia in 1969.
