ZPower's technology is completely changing the way wearers relate to their hearing aids by eliminating the need for regular battery replacements. For an all-day charge, the wearer simply plugs the battery into a recharging stand via a custom door installed in the hearing aid; an audiologist replaces the fully recyclable batteries once per year, meaning the wearer may never have to touch a battery again.

The ZPower Rechargeable System offers a full day of continuous power, charges overnight in the hearing aid takes the place of an estimated 200 disposable batteries, and lasts a full year.

ZPower, the world’s only developer of rechargeable, silver-zinc miniature batteries, will feature its new rechargeable system for hearing aids at the 2015 Congress of The European Union of Hearing aid Acousticians (EUHA) on Oct. 14-16 in Nuremberg, Germany. The Congress is Europe's top event for hearing aid acousticians, audiologists, medical scientists, otolaryngologists, manufacturers, and representatives of associations to meet and share knowledge. Several thousand attendees from approximately 90 countries are expected to take part. ZPower will exhibit in booth A01 in EUHA Halle 4a.

Barry A. Freeman, Ph.D., vice president of business development for ZPower will lead “Charge Up Your Practice” on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 4:15 p.m. at the Nuremberg Convention Center, NCC Ost. Dr. Freeman will showcase the ZPower Rechargeable System, which makes it easy to convert many new and existing hearing aids to rechargeable technology. According to a recent MarkeTrak 9 study, rechargeable batteries and rechargeable hearing aids are among the top features sought by hearing aid users.

Disposable hearing aid batteries, which are used by people with varying levels of dexterity, often run out of power in the middle of the day and require frequent changing. The ZPower Rechargeable System offers a full day of continuous power, charges overnight in the hearing aid, takes the place of an estimated 200 disposable batteries and lasts a full year. A hearing care professional replaces the ZPower hearing aid battery once a year, so the patient never again has to touch a hearing aid battery.
