Factory Supply launches a new e-commerce website design featuring thousands of industrial products. Customers are now able to purchase industrial equipment online.

We are looking to bring the simplicity of purchasing products on an e-commerce website to an industry traditionally accustomed to calling for quotes.

Factory Supply completed the transition last month from a “call for a quote” style servicing to a fully functioning e-commerce website. The new website allows customers to easily purchase industrial goods online without communicating directly with a sales associate.

The majority of Factory Supply’s customers are continuing to order large items such as ladders, work platforms and material handling equipment that require custom shipping through freight brokers. In the past, this had been hindering their ability to provide a checkout process without human interaction. With the new e-commerce website, customers are sent the freight cost in an email shortly after they checkout and given the option to accept or deny.

Factory Supply made this decision to switch over to e-commerce after Michael Liebe acquired the company last year. “We are looking to bring the simplicity of purchasing products on an e-commerce website to an industry traditionally accustomed to calling for quotes,” said Michael Liebe on the company’s decision to evolve their website.

Factory Supply hopes that this shift will provide their customers with a better, more convenient shopping experience. Sales associates will continue to be available for anyone who has questions or prefers to make orders over the phone.
