With only his friend Loostah at his side, Royce somehow manages to produce the 50 pounds necessary to purchase Blackbeard’s ship, Queen Anne’s Revenge from the auction block.

Royce eventually marries the mother of his son and settles on a small coastal farm. He gains a certain amount of local fame and folk hero status after killing a bear that was attacking his wife and son. In 1738 Royce moved his family to Georgia to become part of Ogle Thorpe’s new colony, and builds his dream home.
