Downtown Frederick Partnership Celebrates 25th Anniversary
Frederick, Maryland (PRWEB) October 09, 2015 -- Downtown Frederick Partnership is proud to celebrate 25 years of success and marked the occasion on October 8, 2015 during an annual breakfast. The Partnership welcomed 120 guests to “Rise & Shine” with the organization to learn about the organization’s five year strategic plan, preview the new “We love Downtown Frederick” video and participate in a live appeal to help raise money for implementation of the strategic plan.
The Partnership shared some of their most notable successes with attendees. In the past 25 years, the Partnership has:
- Funded 97 façade improvements
- Held 120 First Saturdays. In the past year alone, First Saturday welcomed an average of 14,000 visitors each month representing a total of 168,000 First Saturday visitors each year. On an annual basis, these same visitors spend more than $6 million in Downtown Frederick.
- Offered 33 Competitive Edge workshops to the business community
- Coordinated more than 100,000 volunteer hours
- Welcomed nearly 66,000 people to Alive @ Five
- Helped lead efforts to have a MARC train station downtown

The live appeal raised $68,000 for the organization which will be used for strategic plan implementation (total Strategic Plan implementation funding goal is $150,000). The organization has raised $118,000 for annual programs and services (total Annual Campaign goal is $345,000).
The Partnership is grateful for the support from the community and is excited to celebrate 25 years in Downtown Frederick.
