Slate Professional Resources, Inc., a national provider of professional staffing and consulting services announces David Navarro as Director - Business Development.

David Navarro, a senior executive who has led technology industry teams and projects on three continents, has joined Slate Professional Resources as Director Business Development, based in the South Florida area.

Drawing on more than 17 years of international sales and management experience for leading technology companies, Navarro will lead the sales efforts in South Florida and the Caribbean in aligning talent strategy and workforce performance with business objectives. David has several years of staffing experience and enjoys selling talent management solutions to its clients.

“David has sold over $400 million USD in hardware, software and solutions across the world. He has lead sales and technical teams in complex, high-profile projects across cultures and continents,” said Mark Levine, President of Slate Professional Resources. “Knowing first-hand the increasing pressures domestic and multinational companies face to attract, develop and retain top talent, he brings effective, proven solutions to our clients.”

Navarro has been responsible for sales throughout the Caribbean and Latin America region and Asia. He provides expertise in developing high-performing multicultural teams, corporate turnarounds, international marketing and complex project management. Before joining Slate Professional Resources, he served as sales regional director for South Florida to Experis. Before that he was Latin America Sales and Mexico Country Manager for multinational technology firm PDM, Inc. Previously, he was senior practice manager for Pitney Bowes Software Latin America.

Navarro also served for a decade in senior executive roles for Nortel Networks, based through the years in Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, South Korea and Hong Kong. His responsibilities ranged from recruiting, training and managing in-country sales and customer service teams, to introducing products in international markets and negotiating contracts.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering and computer science from Monterrey Tech, ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico and his Master of Business Administration degree from Rice University in Houston.
