State of Housing in Black America Comes to Orlando
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) October 12, 2015 -- On Thursday, October 15th the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) Orlando Chapter will host a State of Housing in Black America event at the Crowne Plaza Universal at 3pm. The event is sponsored by Bank of America and is open to the general public, local press and invited guests.
Featured Keynote Speakers will include Ed Jennings, the SE Regional Administrator at US Department of HUD and closing remarks by Senator Geraldine Thompson along with a number of other prestigious leaders, lawmakers, top professionals and activists within the Orlando community.
The theme of the event will be the "Inequalities of Housing for Blacks in America" and will present a discussion on the challenges and changes that will bring a more level playing field for all in the home buying process. The event will also host an audience Q&A session where the general public will have an opportunity to express their concerns on the subject matter.
"With homeownership on a record decline for blacks in America this event comes at the right time to educate and provide the kind of advocacy and support that the black community needs to recapture wealth in housing" states Aaron Mighty, NAREB Orlando President.
The event will begin at 3:00pm at the Crowne Plaza Universal located at 7800 Universal Blvd in Orlando, FL and completes at 5:00pm followed by a professional networking reception.
