New Friends New Life Announces New Development Director
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) October 12, 2015 -- New Friends New Life announces that Lauren Haskins has joined the Dallas nonprofit as its new development director. In this role, Haskins is responsible for developing and managing New Friends New Life’s volunteers, overseeing communication initiatives, and assisting with development needs that support the organization’s mission.
New Friends New Life helps restore and empower teen girls, women and their children who have been former victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation. In order to help women and their children overcome backgrounds of abuse and limited opportunities, the nonprofit provides a holistic program, including access to education, job training, interim financial assistance, mental health and spiritual support.
“We are delighted to welcome Lauren to the New Friends New Life family,” said Executive Director Katie Pedigo. “Her marketing and events experience will greatly benefit our organization and the comprehensive program we offer. As awareness of the human trafficking issue continues to grow in Texas and around the nation, it’s more imperative than ever to ensure our volunteers are properly equipped and that our events and communications efforts position us to offer the best possible resources for those we serve.”
Haskins joins New Friends New Life from Minerva Consulting, where she served as vice president and managed the account services division for the integrated marketing firm, including creating and executing strategies for clients. Prior to Minerva, Haskins worked in New York at various marketing and branding agencies, as well as at the city’s largest homeless service provider. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and a native of Dallas.
