Governor John Hickenlooper Salutes Firefighters During 2015 Firefighter Appreciation Week
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) October 14, 2015 -- DENVER, CO (Sept. 18, 2015): Firefighter Appreciation Week chaired by Governor John Hickenlooper culminated with the Fight Fire With Beer, Music and BBQ event at Oskar Blues this evening in Lyons. Governor Hickenlooper stated; “I’m honored to support the brave men and women Firefighters who put their lives on the line to protect all of us in Colorado, and salute them during Firefighter Appreciation Week.”
The week long tribute pays tribute to the men and women who risk their lives fighting fires, while providing the public with a platform to meet firefighters in person and thank them for their service.

The Fight Fire With Beer – Governor’s Cup statewide beer competition was also held, and the winners were:

Firefighter Appreciation Week 2015 kicked-off on Saturday September 12th in Colorado.
