The USDA has revealed their latest list of originators that processed 100 Rural Development (RD) loans or more, within the last 12 months. Union Home Mortgage Corp. (UHM) topped the list last year by closing 311 loans and is excited to announce they did it again for the 2015 fiscal year, but increased their production and finished with 401 USDA loans closed.

“UHM is ecstatic to be recognized as Ohio’s largest USDA RD lender for three years in a row,” Al Blank, UHM President, said. “Our goal is to continue being Ohio’s number one lender of USDA products, but to also win this award in our other licensed states.”

The USDA’s RD loans were implemented to improve economy and quality of life in rural America. They support rural settings through essential public facilities and services, such as, water and sewer systems, housing, health clinics, emergency service facilities, and electric/telephone services.

Leading lenders dedicate time and energy to obtain training in these programs, allowing them to assist borrowers who are seeking to buy and live in rural areas. UHM’s mortgage professionals immersed themselves in the USDA loan programs in order to provide the tools they need to offer their borrowers a full suite of loan options when searching for a home.

“We’re excited to take part in an economy boosting program that allows families of all different walks of life to achieve their dreams of homeownership,” Bill Cosgrove, UHM CEO, said.

The USDA’s initiatives are designed to help set their loans apart and provide an avenue for lenders like UHM to give back to the Ohio community. Placing homeowners and businesses in areas that will help grow the economy in rural America.

“With our company’s headquarters based in Ohio, we work hard to give back to the community and help grow the economy,” Blank added. “Topping the list for three years in a row is an honor, and the best part is, we are helping homeowners find the best home to fit their needs.”
