CK Mondavi Family Vineyards Partners with Distributors to Generate Additional Donations for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund
New York, NY and Napa, CA (PRWEB) October 14, 2015 -- CK Mondavi Family Vineyards announced today that the winery has partnered with several distributors to generate additional donations to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF), a program that supports wounded military personnel. In addition to the more than $105,000 that CK Mondavi Family Vineyards has donated to date, CK Mondavi worked with Southern Wine & Spirits of New York, Connecticut Distributors Inc. and Young’s Market Company of Washington for the additional donations. The three distributors brought in a total of more than $10,000 in additional donations to the fund and all three distributors were on hand with CK Mondavi Proprietor Marc Mondavi yesterday as they presented the donations at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York.

In addition to the $105,000 that CK Mondavi Family Vineyards has donated to date, the results of their fifth annual donation campaign, that ran this past May through August, will be announced in early 2016. The CK Mondavi Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund program consists of in-store coupons and rebates that when redeemed generate a $1 donation by CK Mondavi to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a national leader in supporting the men and women of the United States Armed Forces and their families. They have provided over $150 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. In 2010 the Fund opened the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) to support the research, diagnosis, and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and psychological health (PH) conditions. In 2013 the Fund launched a new $100 million campaign to build nine “Intrepid Spirit” centers at major military bases around the country. These centers will serve as satellites to the central NICoE facility and extend that care to more service members and veterans suffering TBI, PH conditions and related afflictions. Three Intrepid Spirit centers are already open and two more are under construction.
CK Mondavi chose this charity in particular because as a World War II veteran, Peter Mondavi Sr. believes in supporting our troops, and more importantly supporting this very special group of heroes. Peter Sr. continues his regular involvement with the winery’s business and turns 101 years old this November, 2015.
