Western Electrical Contractors Association Releases Basic Motor Controls for Electricians Curriculum Packages—Now Available on Amazon
Rancho Cordova, CA (PRWEB) October 21, 2015 -- WECA is pleased to announce the release of its updated curriculum packages for Basic Motor Controls—now featuring convenient new downloadable instructor resources.
Using the 16-hour classroom Instructor Guide and downloadable resources for Basic Motor Controls – Part 1, instructors lead students through the specialized skills needed to wire circuits in motor control equipment. Designed from the electrician’s perspective, Part 1 contains multimedia presentations, extensive lecture notes, discussion guidance, and exam and quiz files. Classroom learning is facilitated by detailed practical labs: creating a hands-on learning environment for electrician students to apply their new skills. Companion Student Workbooks include follow-along course content designed to encourage active student engagement.
In Basic Motor Controls—Part 2, our roster of expert electricians and instructional designers created a second 16-hour classroom guide, navigating students through additional real world electrical scenarios to boost later on-the-job success. With additional downloadable content, and a newly revised appearance, students gain experience with contractor construction, off-delay timers, and automatic gate controls.
Together, WECA’s Basic Motor Control curriculum packages provide a complete 32-hour, 2-part course. WECA recommends using this curriculum to continue the training of journeymen electricians, or to supplement apprenticeship.
