Greenberg Traurig’s Peter Gruenberger Appointed Adjunct Professor of Clinical Law at New York University School of Law
NEW YORK (PRWEB) October 14, 2015 -- Peter Gruenberger, senior counsel in the New York City office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has been appointed adjunct professor of clinical law at New York University School of Law. Gruenberger will be teaching appellate advocacy in bankruptcy cases.
Gruenberger has had 54 years of experience working on complex business litigation matters. He has long acted as lead trial and appellate counsel in a broad spectrum of cases in state, federal, bankruptcy, and tax courts, as well as national and international arbitrations and mediations. He has won appeals in a wide variety of matters in the U.S. Supreme Court; the U.S. Circuit Courts for the First, Second, Third, Fifth, Seventh, and Ninth Courts; the New York Court of Appeals; Delaware Chancery and Supreme Courts; New Jersey Supreme Court; and first-chaired many trials in federal district courts, bankruptcy courts, and state trial courts nationwide.
He is a founding member and officer of the litigation section of the American Bar Association, and a member of special committees that drafted amendments to the discovery rule and Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Gruenberger also has served as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the New York City Bar Association and the Southern and Eastern District Task Forces on revisions of the Local Rules of Court.
Additionally, he has previously taught, lectured, and written widely in the fields of complex litigation, trial skills, and ethics. He is a volunteer mediator for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Gruenberger earned his LL.B. from Columbia Law School, where he was decisions editor of the Columbia Law Review, and his B.A. from Columbia University.
