TTi Global Signs Employer’s Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) “Statement of Support”
(PRWEB) October 19, 2015 -- Before a strategic alliance of business leaders, government and military leaders from the Saginaw Bay Region, TTi Global, launched their veteran hiring program by making a public commitment to hire veterans and support their transition to civilian life, ensuring they have career opportunities to move forward.
Lori Blaker, President/CEO of TTi Global, says “There should be no unemployed veterans in the U.S., after having made the commitment and sacrifice to serve their country. If we did a better job of promoting these types of initiatives and these types of programs, we could all work to make sure that we never, ever have an unemployed veteran."
The summit bought together various representatives from government, military and industry to discuss the urgent need of absorbing 50,000 returning veterans into the state’s economy over the next three years.
By signing the “Statement of Support”, TTi Global pledges to fully recognize, honor and enforce the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act (USERRA), provide managers and supervisors the tools they need to effectively manage those employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve and encourage opportunities to hire Guardsmen, Reservists and Veterans.
Bart Buechner, the Vice-chair of Michigan’s ESGR was on hand to witness the signing and stated, “We are very pleased to have TTi Global commit to a veteran initiative. As a global technical training and staffing company, TTi Global can play an important role in advancing the efforts of ESGR.”
