GameTime Brings New Generation of Play to Michigan School
Houghton Lake, Michigan (PRWEB) October 16, 2015 -- GameTime, a leading manufacturer of commercial playground equipment, outdoor fitness products and custom play spaces, is pleased to announce the opening of a new playground at Collins Elementary in Houghton Lake, Michigan.
The new playground, designed by Sinclair Recreation–GameTime’s exclusive representative in Michigan–replaces an aging wooden play structure that was no longer compliant with safety or accessibility guidelines. “The old playground was such an important part of the community and we wanted to make sure we designed a new play area that provided even more play value,” said Rich Sinclair, Vice President of Sinclair Recreation. “We worked closely with the school and the local community to create a fun play environment for children of all abilities.”
The new playground features castle-themed panels and roofs to inspire children’s imaginations, accessible routes of travel to and throughout the play systems, and separate play areas for children ages 2-5 and 5-12.
Completing the project quickly was important to school officials who wanted to minimize the amount of time their students were left without a playground after the old structure was demolished. “Despite unfavorable Michigan weather, Rich Sinclair and his team completed the playground construction very quickly,” said Amy Peterson, Principal of Collins Elementary School. “The playground was ready for students to play in 3 1/2 days.”
