Socks, pajamas, a coat: For kids served by Orchard Place, these are often the only things on their list.

Socks, pajamas, a coat: Things that don’t even make the holiday wish list for most kids. But for kids served by Orchard Place, these are often the only things on their list. Generous donations to the Holiday Drive last year filled the wish lists of more than 500 children served by Orchard Place.
Individuals, businesses and organizations can sponsor children or host a Holiday Party for children residing at the Orchard Place Campus. The need is great, but the joy of giving to a child in need is even greater.
The Orchard Place drive matches donors with children in need. In October, the children complete a wish list, selecting 3 items. Orchard Place staff discusses this list with the child and their parents. Once the gift lists are completed, outreach to individuals and businesses begin so kids can receive gifts that match their wish list in December.
There are multiple ways to participate in the Orchard Place Holiday Gift Drive:
- Individual donors can ‘adopt’ a child’s wish list
- Businesses can sponsor a Giving Tree that features gift list items on ornaments
- Monetary donations can be made for the purchase of selected gifts
- Businesses and groups can sponsor a holiday party for children at Orchard Place
- Volunteers are needed to help shop and wrap gifts
Help bring joy to the children served by Orchard Place this holiday season.
