NFI and Bimbo Bakeries USA Present on Supply Chain Sustainability at COMMIT!Forum
Cherry Hill, NJ (PRWEB) October 20, 2015 -- On October 22, 2015, NFI’s Bill Bliem, SVP Fleet Services, will join partners from Bimbo Bakeries USA and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to present on supply chain sustainability at the COMMIT!Forum. The session, titled The Responsible Freight Supply Chain, will take place from 9:30-10:00 a.m. at the New York City conference.
The annual COMMIT!Forum calls on business and sustainability leaders to share their insights on how to improve the role of business in society and how corporate responsibility and sustainability drive sales, save money, and improve asset values. The EPA hosts The Responsible Freight Supply Chain session, bringing attention to a crucial area for sustainability efforts: the moving of goods.
With the EPA SmartWay Transport Program, over 3,000 other companies work towards more sustainable supply chains. By investing in new technology and implementing an initiative to lower emissions, NFI, a three-time EPA SmartWay Excellence award winner, partnered with customers like Bimbo Bakeries USA to improve the environmental impact of its operations.
Attendees of The Responsible Freight Supply Chain session will discover real-world solutions that can help their own companies enact sustainability practices. In addition to Bliem, the expert panel features Buddy Polovick, EPA SmartWay Transport Partnership and Gary Maresca, Senior Director of Fleet Services at Bimbo Bakeries USA.
